The Subsplash Platform is now available in the Amazon Appstore! The Amazon Appstore can be accessed by both Kindle and Android devices.  Amazon has spearheaded its major global expansion phase, and the Amazon Appstore is now present in nearly 200 different countries. We are very excited to be a part of Amazon’s large-scale mobile movement.

Amazon Appstore Breakdown:

  • 25 million app downloads every month.
  • Over 200,000 apps in the Appstore (almost tripling in the last year).
  • Available in nearly 200 countries including United States, Canada, Great Britain, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany and China.
  • Available in China, while Google Play has restrictions.

Our expansion into the Amazon Appstore is driven by our desire to help reach as many people as possible on the most popular platforms and devices.  With app use continuing to dominate user’s time spent on smart devices, we’ve poured our efforts into making the Subsplash Platform widely available across various mobile phones and tablets. By adding Kindle Fire, the Subsplash Platform is now available in all major existing app stores including the Google Play Store, Windows Phone Store, Apple App Store, and the Amazon Appstore (running across all iPhone, iPad, Windows Phones, Android Phones and Tablets, and now Kindle Fire devices).  With these app store giant’s global reach, we can’t wait for our users to experience delight on our Platform regardless of their device.

Does Your School Have an App?

In today’s world, mobile and tablet use is rapidly growing and becoming more integrated into our everyday lives.  With over 6 billion mobile phones worldwide, 195 million tablets sold in 2013, and “nomophobia”- the fear of being without a mobile device- being a common occurrence in today’s culture, this growth is no surprise.

So what does this mean for today’s schools and educational communities?

Ready to hit the refresh button on your iPhone and iPad apps? So are we!

In step with iOS 7’s simple and clutter-free interface, we’ve adopted a softer visual display that creates a smoother experience for the user.  Our apps now feature refreshed designs, an updated navigation bar, and newly designed buttons and lists.

What really captures me about this update is the relaxing and unobtrusive design. With a softer look, refined typography, and smooth navigation between tabs, the user is in for a beautiful and dynamic experience.

Keep an eye out for your update, it will be here soon!

Stories from the Church: Metro Life Church

Here at Subsplash, our heart is to share the Gospel to the ends of the earth. We do this through providing high-quality, customizable mobile apps for churches and ministries. It is through these partnerships with Jesus-loving churches that we see the real fruits of our labor. The Lord has been so faithful in guiding our business. Sometimes it’s easy for us to keep our heads down, working on the next feature or iteration, only to be brought to our knees by a story that can only be explained by the Glory of God. It was through a conversation with a small church in Louisiana that we found such a story.Metro Life Church in Lafayette, Louisiana, is a church plant that has been around for 5 short years.
